Per MC's consultations index the consultation opened July 27, 2026, and the page states it closes September 21, 2026. MC seeks input from authorized service providers under the Weights and Measures Act and/or the Electricity and Gas Inspection Act, device owners, utilities, and other interested parties. A consultation is a request for input: it changes no certification, accreditation, or legal-for-trade status.

Measurement Canada is consulting on proposed provisional inspection specifications for Level 1 and 2 AC electric vehicle supply equipment (documents PS-EVSE-03 and P-EVSE-02); per MC's consultations index the window runs June 8 to August 3, 2026. EVSE fall under the Electricity and Gas Inspection Act only when used to bill a customer for electricity delivered during a charging session. Items discussed in the documents, including a reverification period, are proposals — not current requirements.
